The eight questions

Updated Sep 9, 2026

After your first sentence Quiny asks eight questions. Most are taps: it proposes an answer from what you have already told it and you confirm or change it.

What they cover

  1. Who buys from you.
  2. What they are buying: products, bookings, subscriptions or a mix.
  3. How they pay.
  4. Whether people need an account.
  5. How it gets to them: delivery, collection, digital or in person.
  6. What it should look like. You see three finished directions and tap one.
  7. The one thing you want people to do first.
  8. Anything customers always ask you.

Why exactly eight

Each question changes what gets built. We tested more and fewer; eight is where answers stayed good and nobody gave up. You can read the reasoning on the blog: Why we ask eight questions.

Changing an answer later

Say so in the prompt line, for example "actually people do need accounts". Quiny re asks only what that change affects and tells you which screens will be rebuilt and what it will cost before doing anything.
