Reading a credit estimate

Updated Sep 9, 2026

Before any step that costs credits, the console shows a line like "≈ 12 credits · approve before I continue".

What the number means

It is Quiny's estimate for that step at the effort it has chosen. Actual cost is usually within a credit or two. If the actual cost would be more than 25 percent above the estimate, Quiny stops and asks again rather than continuing.

Effort

Each step shows an effort tag. High effort is used for careful work such as checkout and costs more per step. Standard effort is used for copy and quick changes. You do not choose effort; Quiny does, based on the kind of step. Pro and Max plans can pin a model, which also fixes the effort.
